We went on a family camp-out for Easter to a place called Mormon Grove. It was so beautiful, and there was a nice little stream running right next to our campsite. The kids loved it and it made for some fun times for all of us. Amazingly, Kida loved it too. We kept throwing her in to see her swim. She didn't enjoy that so much, but she like hopping from rock to rock and following things kids through it. We don't get out camping as much as we would should, but we would love to get out more and Kida would love that too. She loves camping. Well The day that we were trying to leave Kida wasn't eating and we noticed that she was pooping all the time. We didn't realize until later that day that she had the runs. When we got back home on Friday, she still had diarrhea, but she was eating again. So we just decided to wait it out and see if she got to feeling better. After dong some research we had decided that she must have gotten Giardia from the stream. Well, come Tuesday she still had the runs and we decided it was time to have her looked at. I made an appointment for early Tuesday morning, called in to work, and collected a stool sample in preparation for our Dr's appt. They did a couple tests and took some x-rays (we were a little worried that something else may be wrong so they took x-rays to calm my fears.) They gave us some medicine for the diarrhea to take while we waited for the test results. Incidentally, this medicine is the same things they give for animals with Giardia, so either way she would be good. The vet told me to get her on some wet food, and then she gave me some probiotics to mix with her food (Grandma Lynda liked that idea!) We had been trying to get her to eat rice and she wouldn't hear of it. Spoiled dog. Anyway, the medicine stopped her up immediately and things are much better, in fact I think better than before!
In other great news I have a brand new beautiful nephew!
