Christian's 2nd Birthday

christian's 2nd b-day was a blast. it was an animal themed party, so everyone wore animal print and there were animal plates and animal stickers etc. christian got to get the first hits on the lionhead-pinata.

he's a natural at sports, so he did well!

then his dady showed him his first present, and hung it up. christian had been asking for a swing for a while. he was so happy. and we use it everytime i go to visit!

next came the birthday 'cake'. it was delicious rice krispies with m&ms. can you see the cute little animal candles?

time for presents. this is the first birthday where he really understood the idea of presents, so he was excited.

Diamondbacks Game

my mom and dad went to prescott for a conference, and dave and i watched the boys. mom works for MPS and they have speical deals on DB tickets. she bought enough for dave and i, thomas, stef, christian, carter and sam to go. it was so much fun, and we were really excited about the fireworks show after!

sammy chose to sit in front of us, alongside some silly asians.

here is one of those silly asians. yep. whipped out this little number, to record the game. awesome

i don't know what happened to carter's hair, but he looks like he's pullin a cindy lauper do!

christian thought everything was a little loud. but i think he started the night with a fever, so loud noises, not so fun.

My poor little flower...

Here is a little reminder of what my awesome bulb looked like about a month ago. I was so excited hoping that I was going to get some flowers. Well I did....here they are.

The pokey things started opening and turning purple. I got more excited by the day.

Then one day not long after they started turning brown/black... :-C

So I brought it inside thinking that it was getting cooked outside because it's too hott now.

It was fine for a week or so, but then it started to look wilty. So i think, well I'll put it out in the sun for a couple hours...

Kida at 16 weeks

Kida has been shedding and Dave and I were really upset because we don't want a dog that sheds. And we were upset because we want her to have long hair like a Shih Tsu...seeing as how we bought a Shih Tsu. But she isn't shedding nearly as much as the first month that we had her so I'm hoping that if we can't have long hair, I'll at least take no shedding.

She loves to sleep between dady's legs and he enjoys it too...something about his cats sleeping like that growing up, i don't know. She really loves cuddling with dady and I have some pictures of them lying down together but i am not allowed to post them!

On Sunday when we were at Mamaw and Pompa's house, Kida and Chita took a nap. They play and fight for hours and wear themselves out. So they usually end up falling asleep together somewhere silly.

Then uncle Sammy woke them up, so they immediately started fighting and playing again.

i'm always cold at home. it's a nice change though from my mom&dads where its ALWAYS hott...

and i love the gorgeous and comfy sofa my hubs bought for me!

this is the groty cup thats been on the roof of one of the parking structures at my apt. complex since we moved in.

and here is the weird stuffed animal on another parking roof that has also been there since we moved in. some poor little kid is missing a faceless rabbit doll.

Free fishing!

today was free fishing day in arizona. i'm not quite sure that free fishing does it justice. really what it is, is a day where you can fish without a license. so dave, thomas and sammy went fishing at willow springs.

Kida, kida, kida

here is my baby girl at 12 weeks. and most of you won't get this but she's curling her foot under in true heaton fashion!

i gave her this bone shaped biscuit in hopes that she would totally love it. but she doesn't. she chews on it til it crumbles, spits the pieces out and starts all over again...

she gets so excited when he comes home. i think she gets tired of being with me all day.

here she is on the porch. she loves the porch, because there is no shortage of crunchy leaves and seed pods for her to chew on and make messes on my carpet.

she it totally goofy. she is always changing positions when she sleeps (like parents like daughter) and we have to giggle when she sleeps on her back.
